David joined Dragonfly Internet as CEO in 2023 with a mission to reimagine connectivity in rural America. Under his leadership, Dragonfly has grown into one of the most ambitious broadband providers in the South, expanding access to high-speed internet across underserved communities in Alabama and Florida.

Nelson Chu | Managing Director, Kinetic Ventures
Nelson Chu a Virginia Tech class of 1988 electrical engineering graduate with an MS from MIT, and an MBA from Harvard, serves as a Managing Director at Kinetic Ventures. Chu has spent over 25 years backing early and growth-stage companies across enterprise software and broadband infrastructure.
Kinetic Ventures is the lead investor at Dragonfly and has led investment behind standout outcomes, including Point Broadband. Point grew from a rural fiber provider into a scaled broadband platform acquired by major investors such as GTCR and Berkshire Partners, before combining with Clearwave Fiber to create one of the largest independent fiber operators in the U.S.. Other notable investment include Cardlytics (Nasdaq IPO) and Tower Cloud ($230M strategic sale). Kinetic Ventures’ track record for identifying infrastructure plays before they scale makes their read on emerging opportunities such as Dragonfly one worth paying attention to.
