Venus Aerospace is a hypersonics company designing reusable drones and spaceplanes for defense, research, and future commercial transport missions. Its proprietary Rotating Detonating Combined Cycle (RDCC) engine delivers increased thrust and enables reusable, high-speed flight platforms. The company is led by husband-and-wife team Susan “Sassie” Duggleby and Andrew Duggleby, both fellow Hokies. Lunch Pail Ventures first invested in Venus Aerospace in November 2023 and completed follow-on investments in December 2024 and December 2025.
